EASY! Pizza Recipe

Hey guys! Pizza is one of those foods that you can’t ever get bored of. I mean come on..its pizza. However, there is nothing like a freshly baked pizza out of the oven to eat and this quick and easy recipe is going to teach you exactly how to do it! keep on reading

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 7g packet of fast action yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • half tsp of salt
  • 150ml warm water
  • tube of tomato puree
  • lots of cheese
  • toppings of your choice
  • 1 tsp of oil (any oil will do)

Method:

Start by adding all of the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Making sure that you put the yeast and the salt on the opposite sides of the bowl. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
IMG_2439.JPG
Add the warm water and mix until the dough comes together. The reason why we DON’T

use hot water is because this will actually kill the yeast and stop the dough from rising

IMG_2440.JPG
Once it has relatively formed a dough. Work the dough for around 10 minutes. Disclaimer: the dough might be really sticky but keep kneading the dough to develop the gluten. Add more flour if it is unworkable.
IMG_2441.JPG
Keep kneading the dough to develop the gluten until the dough becomes very smooth
IMG_2442.JPG
Use the 1 tsp of oil around the bowl to prevent the dough from sticking. Making sure you add some of the oil on top of the dough as well
IMG_2443.JPG
Cover the bowl with cling film and a cloth and then set it in a warm dark place for 1- 2 hours for the dough to proof.
IMG_2444.JPG
The dough should have doubled or even tripled in size. Remove the cling film and poke the dough  with your fingers to remove any air trapped in the dough
IMG_2445.JPG
Once the air has been removed you are now ready to shape the pizza dough to your desired size. You can use either your hand to manipulate the dough or a rolling pin
IMG_2446.JPG
Once you have rolled the dough to your desired size. Place on a clean, floured pizza tray. Prick the base of the pizza with a fork to stop it from rising
IMG_2447.JPG
Add as much tomato puree as you want, using the back of a spoon to distribute it around
IMG_2480.JPG
Now the fun part! THE TOPPINGS!!!!! Today i have gone for cheese, broccoli, kale, sweetcorn and sausage and also i stuffed the crust with cocktail sausages 😀

Bake in the oven on Gas Mark 8/230 degrees for  15-20 minutes or until it is nice and crispy. Then ENJOY!

Looks awesome! I’ve been craving pizza lately, but I’m planning to make my own instead of buying a frozen pizza. Homemade is always best! Interesting toppings, too…I love the idea of kale and corn 😛
